How Moncha Started
Standing before the first sunrise of the year, Moncha co-founder Hiroshi felt one clear thought:
"I want to deliver this — this atmosphere, this stillness — to the world."

Moncha is a curated box that brings together hard-to-find regional specialties and local sweets discovered across Japan, paired with matcha, Japanese tea, and culturally inspired items.
Each box has a unique theme that combines regional specialties and cultural items for a fully immersive experience — not just a selection of snacks, but a curated journey through a specific place, season, or story from Japan.
Moncha is based in Japan, sourcing domestic specialties and cultural items from artisans and producers across the country, and delivering them worldwide.
Each box contains 10+ Japan-exclusive items themed around the month's concept — regional sweets, temple wagashi, matcha, lifestyle items, and cultural keepsakes. Subscribers on 3-month plans and above also receive a premium matcha selection.
Your first box ships shortly after you subscribe. For subsequent deliveries, boxes are shipped around the 15th to 25th of each month. Delivery typically takes 5–14 business days depending on your location.
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time before the next billing date. Multi-month plans are billed upfront — please check our refund policy for details.
